.."Many like to cling to their precious hours of sleep, as the body recharges for another day of adventure in the next round of co-creation, but even a person that has done very little throughout the day, still needs to shut down every single evening. Why would this be so? If the body has been resting all day, why does it still need to experience this deeper level of sleep? It seems that this pattern we run, the cycle of on and off, is something we have only taken for granted, for most have never really looked deeply into the patterns of their sleep, or into the true nature of our dreams. It does not matter how smart or strong we think we are, sleep will always overtake us like a tidal wave force, and there does not seem to be much choice in the matter as our attempts to stay awake only end in futility. Many will say we sleep to dream, to relieve our minds from the stress of daily living, entering the deepest realms of our imagination, in which we are co-creator and actor.

No-one should doubt that we create our own dreams, after all we create IT all within our mind just as our waking moments, and most often then not dreams are a direct reflection and a window into our unconscious flow, specific and individual to us and our state of consciousness. We tend to see this process as normal yet dismiss its purpose, as each night our sense of self disappears and shuts down from this realm of experience, entering a world of light and imagination that can lead to the rise or decay of our spirit.

Why is it that something that consumes a third of our life, is almost dismissed as something that is not real, yet we continuously do IT every single night!? Would it not be fair to say, that if we ignore a third of our being, we are but only ignoring a key aspect of our-self? Can understanding ever arise through ignoring, or do not all the avenues of investigation have to be exhausted before one can dismiss its existence? As they say, even the spirits envy those who are Awake, and IT turns out life can become something else when the entire spectrum of being is Awakened within us. For instead of life being sliced into units of measurement, the on and off through the days and nights, the months and years between our birth and death, life begins to flow like a continuous river, as the balance is restored in our heart throughout all aspects of our living eternal moment!" ~Alistar Valadez/DMT...
