It took 32 days and the piecing together of 126 separate photos to get this one image: a 3,200-year-old Giant Sequoia called "The President" : 247 feet tall, the trunk is 27 feet wide, the branches hold 2 billion needles (the most of any tree on the planet) and it adds one cubic meter of wood per year (one of the fastest growing trees in the world). It is located on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada in California, USA at about 6500 ft. above sea level. Life is precious, on all scales...
