Love should enable you to welcome even hardships as meant for your own good...

When you have malaria,
you have to take bitter quinine medicine.

That is the medicine
needed to cure the ailment.

Likewise, when adversity confronts you,
treat it as a medicine for your own good.

Gold has to be melted and beaten to make a jewel.
A diamond is cut to make it more brilliant.

Likewise, troubles in life serve to refine a person.
Love should enable you to welcome even
hardships as meant for your own good.

Post 188, jealousy and hatred do more harm to those who entertain these feelings than to those towards whom these are expressed...

If a registered letter is addressed to some one,
who declines to receive it, the postal department
will deliver it back to the sender.

Similarly, if you criticise someone or hate somebody,
if the other person remains unaffected and unperturbed,
your criticism and hatred come back to you.

Jealousy and hatred do more harm
to those who entertain these feeling
than to those towards whom these are expressed.

Live to keep the conscience clean, for no other proof of purity is required...

Live to keep the conscience clean,
for no other proof of purity is required.
Be vigilant of any wrong that you may commit,
and do not rest, until you have undergone
every penance to correct this wrong to a right.

You must not forego the right at any time,
even if it means facing the gutsy winds of limited hardships -
however much the winds may howl, let them not frighten you.
The pillar of truth can face any storm with a silence -
a silence that will kill the scream of evil!

Harsh behavior comes from a mind that has developed anger and bitterness of his own constant failures...

Harsh behavior comes from a mind
that has developed anger and bitterness
of his own constant failures.

Your success becomes his envy,
and the envy shows the ugly face of pride -
and pride will only scorn the one that is humble
and blame him to be weak.

But you must not pay
any heed to these insane remarks.

When you, too, will react with anger,
you are only allowing evil to make its short-term victory.

Evil must be destroyed by
your reaction of its nonrecognition.
Look only for the happiness that
lies within you and emanate with it.

Hold on to only what is right, today and not to what was wrong yesterday...

Hold on to only what is right, today, and not to what was wrong, yesterday.

Peace will only come,
when you are the first to make its offering.

Peace will only come,
when you are the first to make its offering.

Peace will only come,
when your path of right will shine before you.

The one that wrongs is the one that will suffer -
suffer, one day, with the same weapon that
will be the course of his death -
then why must you analyze, judge,
and punish the one that is the unfortunate of tomorrow?

Fill yourselves with pity - not the pity of pride,
but the pity of love and compassion,
ignoring the attack of the wrong doer
and become the medicine of his disease.

By learning to forgive, you give another the chance to take a new step ahead..

By learning to forgive, you give
another the chance to take a new step ahead,
allowing the repentance of his wrong to burn his impurities,
and encouraging him to develop the strength to fight his failures.

When you will remember every wrong,
you My dears, will become his barrier
from being able to rise from his fall.

As long as you will hold on to the wrong,
he, too, will only be compelled to live with it.
As long as you will resent that wrong,
he will only be forced to justify it with
the defense of his failing dignity.

Do not dwell on another's wrong done to you, let the memory erase....

Do not dwell on
another's wrong done to you,
let the memory erase,
make it a new beginning,
and with every fresh start,
let the pain of blame leave you, forever.

For that incident, they stopped their tracks...
For that incident, they hand-braked their potentials...
For that incident, they blamed themselves...
For that incident, they cannot accept the facts...

Life is supposed to be clear and dear...
Life is supposed to be moving on...
Life is supposed to be turning around...
Life is supposed to be more than joyous...

Let the tree of love take roots and grow in abundance....

He who expects any wealth, property ,amenity or comfort from you, can never be your well wisher.

He who expects any wealth, property ,amenity or comfort from you, can never be your well wisher.

The fire of sorrow and joy burns when the fuel of impulses is fed into the furnace of the mind... take away the fuel and the fire dries out...

The fire of sorrow and joy burns when the fuel of impulses is fed into the furnace of the mind. Take away the fuel and the fire dries out. Take away the force of impulses, promptings and urges and you become your own master.

An attitude of generosity, of fortitude in the presence of sorrow and loss, a spirit of enthusiasm to do good, to be of service to the best of one's capacity - these build up the mind as well as the body. Practice the attitude of joy when others are joyful and of grief when others around you are grieved. Let your heart move in sympathy. But, the joy and grief have to be translated into service; they should not be mere emotions.

The end of wisdom is freedom... the end of culture is perfection... the end of knowledge is love...the end of education is character...

The end of wisdom is freedom.
The end of culture is perfection.
The end of knowledge is love.
The end of education is character.

There is a desire on the part of all
of us to acquire these four qualities,
namely wisdom, culture, education
and reach their ends, namely
freedom, perfection, love and character.

But students should realize
that if these qualities are not properly utilised,
then they cannot call themselves students.

As students and future citizens of this
country, you have the responsibility
of shaping the future of this country.

Put your hearts in the right path by listening attentively
to the persons of eminence and experience.

Pride responds with anger, humbleness and humility responds with compromise and reasoning...

Sorrows and disasters are the clouds that flit across the sky, they cannot injure the blue depths of space of faith...

Sorrows and disasters are the clouds
that flit across the sky; they cannot
injure the blue depths of space of faith.

Look upon joy and sorrow
as teachers of hardihood and balance.

Grief is a friendly reminder,
a good taskmaster, even a better teacher than joy.

Do not flinch in the face of grief.
Welcome the test because thereafter
you are awarded the certificate.
It is to measure your progress that tests are imposed

Worry means 'war with the self'

The word “worry” itself means at “war with the Self”.

Worry itself signifies, “Thinking that induces fear within one’s being”.

No doubt worry is thinking…but what kind of thinking…”unnecessary thinking”!

Worry begins when one strongly feels that there is no other solution …other than to think!

Worry always finds its way back to fear. Often many solutions come before the worrier…but he seldom wishes to get out from his so-called “safety net” of continuous uninterrupted thinking.

We often worry and make others worry with us. We are comfortable that both are thinking unnecessarily and remain in a false notion that that itself will bring peace.

We desire…we chase…we make the choices and inevitably when worry surrounds us we look toward God and ask Him “Why?”

We constantly talk of our desires. We often wonder which one will be fulfilled…at what time. And then we speak of how much faith we have in God…and wonder if He has known and realized it!!

Are we truly carefree? Are we ready to give up worrying? Are we ready to distinguish between the “necessary thinking” and the “unnecessary thinking”?

When unnecessary thinking becomes a habit…worry becomes your nature…fear becomes your companion…and life becomes a road to failures…

Let us succeed in thinking right first! And whatever follows we will surely learn to face!

Difference of opinion must be like the 2 eyes, each giving a different picture of the same subject...both of which coordinated to give a complete pic

Difference of opinion must be like the two eyes, each giving a different picture of the same object; both of which, when coordinated give a complete rounded picture. It is no use indulging in arguments and disputations; he who clamors aloud has not grasped the Truth, believe Me. Silence is the only language of the realized.

Those who know will not speak; those who speak do not know, can not know. It is the ignorant man who argues loudly and angrily and talks cynically. The wise man will pause before judging; he will see all sides of the problem, relate it to his own experience and hesitate to accept it or condemn it. He will hear less and taste more.

Read this story... 'Bitterness of life'

An experienced wise master grew tired of his Disciple complaining. One morning he sent the Disciple for some salt.

When the Disciple returned, the master instructed the unhappy young man to put a handful of salt in a glass of water and drink it.

"How does it taste?" the master asked.

"Bitter," spit the Disciple.

The master chuckled and then asked the young man to put a handful of Salt in the lake nearby.

The two walked to the nearby lake. After the apprentice swirled his handful of salt into the water, the old man said, "Now drink from the lake...”

As the water dripped down the young man's chin, the master asked, "Now How does this taste?"

"Fresh Sweet" remarked the Disciple.

"Do you taste the salt?" asked the master.

"No," said the young man.

At this, the master sat beside the young man who so reminded him of himself at one time and held his hands.

He told the young man, "The pain of life is pure salt; no more, no less. The amount of pain in life remains exactly the same. However, the amount of bitterness we taste depends on the container we put the pain in!

Forbearance....

You have to make your love pure.
To do so, you must develop forbearance ,
which implies remaining serene, patient and
observing self-restraint under all circumstances,
doing good to all, even to those who may want to harm you.

There is nothing greater than .
Forbearance
is equivalent to truth itself.
It is the heart of righteousness .

It is non-violence in practice.
Forbearance
is contentment, compassion;
truly, it is everything in all the worlds.
Only when you have developed forbearance,
will you be able to attain the Love..

Refuse to indulge in self pity... is it worth gaining the compassion of a few and losing the worth of your own self?

Hatred comes to one with ease, but leaves him with the greatest difficulty...

The one that seeks the company of the self finds himself the least lonely...

One cannot harbor bad feelings within and attempt to offer love...the stream of pure love begins to flow only when the past memories are cleaned with.

Patience is our mood of the day...

when everyone is ok...
when everyone is fine...
when everyone is healthy...
the world will be a better place to live...

It all starts from us...
It all starts from our home...
Let us lead our family members..
Let us show by examples...

Let us do the right things...
Let us say the right things...
Our kids learn, seeing and unseeing..
Thus it is for us to mould the family....

Love is the main ingredient...
Patience is our mood of the day...
Harmony is the song we sing...
Understanding...mutual and kind...

No direction can help the one that is determined to remain lost!

The company of good people is very hard to get while you have a ...

“The company of good people is very hard to get while you have a lot of wicked ones all around the world, There are pebbles available in plenty, But precious gems and diamonds are extremely rare to get.”

Do not ever lie to yourself, even one small lie can take from you a big part of your own self...

Fear is the shadow of all desires...

Every good action is only the result of one's tolerance to many bad experiences...

The love of the mother...

“More fragrant than the sweet-smelling flowers
like jasmine and the Champak,
Softer than cheese and butter.
More beautiful than the eye of the peacock,
More pleasant than the moonlight,
Is the love of the mother.”

Love never tires out...

As self-respect declines, one begins to live the life of sin...

There are 3 kinds of love...

Love is of three kinds;
Self centered, which like a bulb, illumines just a small room;
Mutual, which like moonlight, spreads wider but is not clear;
and Genuine love which is like the sunlight, is all pervasive and clear.

Cultivate the third type of Love that will save you.
For all the service that you do to others, through Love,
is actually service done to yourself.
It is not others that you help, it is yourself that is being helped.

Life without love is like an electric wire without power supply...

“Life without love is like an electric wire without power supply,
A field without water,
a temple without a deity and
A school without a teacher.”

Man should strive to become good and virtuous..

Man should strive to become good and virtuous.
Only when a man is filled with good thoughts
and feelings
, and performs good deeds will
his life become meaningful.

You have to busy yourselves with activity
in order to use your time and skill to the best advantage.
That is your duty, and duty is God.

Every man should recognise that the body
has been given to him to render service to others.
One must use the body for promoting the welfare of society.

A mind that is not utilized for imparting joy
to others or a body that is not used in
service of others is totally useless.
The way to love God is to love
all and serve all.

Wish hard for what you want,,, yes, on what you really want..

Realize this miracle..
you will always get what you really want,
provided they are with good intention and vision..

Difficulties come and go like passing clouds...

Difficulties come and go like passing clouds. You don't need to worry
about them. Keep your vision fixed on the sun. Sometimes, clouds
cover the sun. But, have patience. When the clouds move away, the sun
will be visible again. In the same manner, the clouds of worldly
delusion come in the way of Atmic vision. In such situations, you
should not let your mind waver. Have patience. The 'clouds' will
recede and the 'sun' will reappear in all its brilliance.

The power of God surround you, you remain weak, only because you choose to remain disconnected..

Free from arrogance, you are loved...

“Free from arrogance, you are loved,
Free from anger, you are free from sorrow,
Free from desire, you gain wealth,
Free from greed, you become happy.”
